On to Mendenhall...

The Mendenhall Glacier is part of the Tongass National Forest.  It flows from the Juneau icefield into Mendenhall Lake.

The little bear in the photo is the mascot for my sister's elementary school - they like photos of the bear from around the world to help the children learn geography.  We did see black bears in the park but I wasn't quick enough to get a photo!
